The White Sox began the 2020 fall campaign with a 4-1 win over the Marlins on Sunday in a game that featured strong pitching and stingy defense on both sides.

The White Sox (1-0) trailed 1-0 in the top of the fourth inning when Bradly Bowen laced a two run single to center. Some late offense provided some much needed breathing room and Anthony Carraci tossed two scoreless innings in relief to pick up his first save of the season. Up next for the White Sox is a meeting with the Steamers.

The Marlins (0-1) jumped out to an early lead on an RBI single by Shawn Eubanks in the bottom of the first and got a strong outing from starting pitcher, Grayson Shaw, who tossed three scoreless innings, striking out seven. Up next for the Marlins is a meeting the Pirates.
