The Marlins won their second game in a row by beating the Steamers on Sunday, 6-3. Jaime Torres picked up the win for the Marlins by holding the Steamers to just one run over four innings of work. Greyson Shaw followed and closed the door on the Steamers, picking up the save.

The Marlins started the scoring by picking up two runs in the first inning on a two run single off the bat of Shawn Eubanks. Their lead grew to 4-0 before the Steamers got on the board and cut the lead to 4-2, but two Marlins runs in the top of the 7th put the game out of reach.

The Marlins will look to continue their winning ways when they take on the Red Sox next weekend, while the Steamers will look to end their three game skid with a win over the Thrashers.
