The White Sox continued their winning ways with an 11-0 win over the Steamers on Friday night securing them a first round bye in the playoffs. White Sox pitching was again the difference as they limited the Steamers to just one hit in the game while striking out six.

Andrew Strittmatter paced the Sox offense driving in two runs on a pair of doubles, while also scoring three times. Brandon Whitmore collected two RBIs of his own and Ian Allen, Bradley Bowen, and Weston Johnikin each drove in one.

Next up for the White Sox (7-0) is a showdown with the the Thrashers (6-1) with a chance to clinch the top seed in the playoffs. The Steamers (1-6) will look to break their six game losing streak when they take on the Marlins (3-4) who have dropped two in a row.
