WHITE SOX TOP ROYALS

The White Sox beat the Royals 10-4 on Sunday to improve to 2-0 on the season. Anthony Caracci started the game for the White Sox and allowed just one run on three hits over four innings of work before turning it over to Andrew Strittmatter, who picked up the win in relief. 

Bradley Bowen picked up two hits and a pair of RBIs for the White Sox, while Gary Kott, who scored three runs, and Zach Case each added two hits of their own. Strittmatter and Webster Thomas each drove in a pair of White Sox runs. 

Cory Helman led off the game with a solo home run and Alex Gammon ripped a double off the wall in left for the Royals. Starting pitcher, Drew Richardson tossed five innings allowing just three earned runs while striking out six.  

Up Next: The White Sox (2-0) will visit the Padres (0-1) on Thursday, while the Royals (0-1) visit the Thrashers (0-1) on Wednesday. Both games are scheduled to start at 7:00pm at Scott Stell Park.
