The Pirates improved to 2-0 on the season with a 14-7 win over the Marlins on Sunday.

The Pirates got things going early, jumping out to a 10-0 lead in the top of the third thanks to some aggressive base running and timely hitting. Gonzalo Toruno and Norlan Salmeron lead the Pirates offense with two hits apiece, while Spenser Frazier, Mike Jenkins, and Eddy Espinoza each drove in a pair of runs.

Rene Ramirez picked up his second win of the season as he threw five innings in relief of starter, Pedro Peralta, allowing just one earned run while striking out four.

Up Next: The Pirates (2-0) will return home to host the Reds (0-2) at Memorial on Sunday, while the Marlins (0-2) will visit the Thrashers (0-2) at New Hampstead.
