MYERS QUIETS SOX, PUTS BRAVES ON TOP

Jack Myers led the Braves to a 3-1 win over the Black Sox on Sunday at Chain Field lifting his team into sole possession of first place in the 33+ Division.

Myers, tossed six and a third innings to earn the win allowing one run on just four hits, while striking out five. He also picked up two hits and scored two of the Braves three runs. Steven Latham and Mark Lott each had two hits for the Braves.

Mike Stubbs tossed five and two thirds for the Black Sox allowing just three runs, while also striking out five in a losing effort. Anthony Williams singled twice, while Gary Kott ripped a double and walked for the Black Sox. 

Up Next: The Braves (3-0) will host the Marlins (1-2), while the Black Sox (2-1) host the Pirates (2-1).
