The White Sox defeated the Marlins to win in the 2020 SABL Fall League Championship on Sunday at Chain Field. After jumping out to a 5-0 lead early, the Sox fought off a late Marlins rally to capture their first Fall League Championship.
After earning a first round bye, the White Sox beat the defending champion, Red Sox, 12-2 in the semifinals. The Marlins reached the championship with a 10-0 win over the Steamers before before beating the Thrashers in the semifinals 14-4.
After the game, White Sox player, Gary Kott (1B/P), was named the Most Valuable Player.
