REDS OUTLAST PIRATES

The Reds picked up their first win of the season by beating the Pirates 7-5 on Sunday at Memorial. 

Winning pitcher, Bobby Edwards, tossed a complete game for the Reds striking out five. David Price and Jaime Torres paced the Reds offense with three hits apiece, while Edwards and Steve Seymour had two hits of their own.

Wesley Wilkes hit a pair of solo homer runs for the Pirates. 

Up Next: The Reds (1-2) will host the Thrashers (0-3) while the Pirates (2-1) visit the Black Sox (2-1).
